Print out and complete this Registration Form and return it to Room 241 in the Archbold Building by Wednesday, October 17th, 2007.

The race will start at 11:00 AM in front of Archbold and will be followed by an awards ceremony. Please arrive 45 to 30 minutes prior to the start of the race for registration and to warm up.

5K Fun Run T-Shirts are available for sale through this 5K T-Shirt order form. Forms must be completed and returned to the Martin J. Whitman School of Management Vistors Center on the first floor.

The deadline for the T-Shirt order form is Saturday, October 13th.

The T-Shirts will cost $20 and all the proceeds will benefit the Tracy Halpin Memorial Fund. Donations can also be made through the Tracy Halpin Memorial Fund website.

In Loving Memory of

Tracy  Halpin

August 26, 1984 - January 21, 2006

Tracy Halpin was an honor student in Whitman who died suddenly from a blood clot one Saturday morning in January.  She had just finished her tenure as president of Beta Alpha Psi, was going to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Rochester, after she graduated with honors in May.  Tracy loved life, nothing was ever boring when she was around.

As President of Beta Alpha Psi, she started the Danforth middle school mentoring project.  She made that project fun for everyone involved and ended the year by throwing a big party for the kids.   When Tracy was involved you could be sure it was going to be fun. She had the respect and love of all of our friends, and faculty.

Having a 5K run in Tracy’s memory is a great  way to honor her. First of all she would have loved having all those people around.  She would have worked the crowd. 
Secondly it can be an annual event, which is the vow we made to her family, that we would always keep her memory alive at SU.  She was a role model for so many. Not just because she was a great student or for what she accomplished for herself.  But because of the way that she cared so much for other people, and demonstrated that by how she lived.

In her memory we celebrate that quality of character as what we wish for all of our students.
