Message from the Dean of the Whitman School of Management

The Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University is pleased to invite you to participate in the third annual Whitman School Conference on Business and Entrepreneurship in Africa. This year, the conference will be held in the beautiful city of Quebec, Canada, and will be hosted by the faculty of business administration at Faculty of Business Administration, Université Laval, our partner in the Africa Business Program. 

Based on the successful experience of the past two years, the conference offers a unique forum for participants to meet and discuss their current work on business and entrepreneurship in Africa with other academic researchers and business professionals from around the world. Through paper presentations, panel discussions and keynote addresses, together we will seek to understand the pivotal role of entrepreneurship in Africa’s economic development. Participants from around the world will present their findings and offer diverse perspectives on Africa’s budding marketplace.

We hope to stimulate your interest in this largely understudied area and inspire you to further explore business and entrepreneurship in Africa.
