Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse
The Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) was established in 1989 as a data gathering, research, and distribution center at Syracuse University. The organization exits for the sole purpose of supplying the public with information on the federal government's enforcement and regulatory efforts. TRAC services are free to the public and can be accessed by students through its Web site or the research center located in Newhouse II on SU’s campus.

TRAC promotes the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) which states that all federal government records must be made accessible to the general public. Though many organizations and individuals know of this act, they find it difficult to access government information. TRAC works to alleviate this problem by breaking down information into easy to read information graphics and data charts. The organization supplies all information from number of government employees to intricate administration policies. To access this information visit: http://trac.syr.edu
