The Whitman School’s program in management provides both undergraduate and doctorate level students with an overall knowledge in both the art and science of management. The program offers undergraduates a major in general management and the doctoral students a choice of three major areas of study.

Within Whitman’s management department, faculty members are honored for their innovative research in management and excellence in teaching within the field. These faculty members are dedicated to the development of both theory and practice and carry out this dedication through conducting research in the areas of strategy, organization theory, organizational behavior, business law, ethics & public policy, and human resource management — all of which focus on the human role in organizational success.
