Building upon the Whitman School’s foundations of leadership, teamwork, and integrity, the Whitman Career Center incorporates these principles in the transition of prospective students into well-informed applicants, the guidance of current students in career planning and professional development, the alignment of recruiter interests with student strengths, and the continued support of alumni in career planning and research needs.

Whitman’s experiential learning environment allows students to put their scholarship into action and become leaders among their peers. Through many business plan competitions, Whitman students have gained national recognition for their intellectual capacity. Within the Whitman school, students take an active role in many career-focused groups and are eager to listen to the advice of our many corporate guest speakers. At the Whitman Career Center, Whitman students develop a career plan that is consistent with their interests and strengths, and then they put this plan into action by taking advantage of the many opportunities to network with recruiters and participate in workshops to hone their resumes and interview skills. The Whitman Career Center is focused on matching student talent with employer needs by facilitating interactions and providing guidance in any way possible.
