Job Postings
If you are unable to travel to Syracuse for a recruiting visit, we invite you to send us your job posting. Whether you are looking for an undergraduate, MBA/master's student, or alumnus, we would be pleased to post your job opportunities or internship positions in our databases and newsletters. We can then send submitted resumes to you, or we can have students and alumni contact you directly. Syracuse University uses an electronic recruiting system called E-recruiting to facilitate the process. Please contact us regarding registration for this system.
You and your chosen candidates can then make arrangements for the location and times for interviewing and continuing the hiring process.
Video-Conferencing
The Whitman School also has the capability to set-up video interviewing. This option is available to any potential employer that has ISDN lines or conferencing via the Internet. Please contact us for more information about this option.
International Students
The Whitman School of Management offers a student body that reflects the world’s work force. Our students bring a global perspective to your company.
Full-Time Employees – Most of the Whitman School’s international students have F-1 visas that allow them to work in the United States for as long as 12 months after graduation. The visa requires no fees. During that year, individuals typically pursue an H-1B visa, the most common professional employment visa. It allows individuals to work in the United States for three years and can be extended another three years. The acquisition process is inexpensive and easy to complete.
Interns – Non U.S. students who hold F-1 visas are able to work in the United States between their first and second years of MBA study as part of their education. Because there are no fees for F-1 interns, this is an excellent opportunity to bring international experiences into your workplace.
We also encourage you to visit www.bcis.gov for more detailed information on hiring international students. Please let us know your citizenship requirements for employment so we can inform our international students. Click here to see why you would benefit by hiring an international student.
