How to Recruit a Whitman Student

The Whitman Career Services Center staff will assist you with all your recruiting needs to maximize your opportunities to select the most qualified candidates. Company visibility is our primary goal in assisting recruiters, as well as helping recruiters establish a positive presence within Whitman and across the Syracuse University campus.

Whitman’s state-of-the-art facilities allow recruiters to interface with students in a variety of ways:

• Interviews can be held in one of our recruiting offices or in a conference room designed for panel interviews.


• Recruiters are also welcomed to give presentations to students in one of our classrooms for a more personal experience or in the auditorium to reach a broader group of students


• In addition, recruiters are invited to have lunch with students and career center staff at our café or in the Flaum Grand Hall with catering services, as well as at some of the many restaurants on campus suitable for interview luncheons.


• If you would like a broader target audience for the recruiting process, we invite you to attend any of the Whitman career fairs held in our welcoming Flaum Grand Hall.

Resume Books
At the Whitman School of Management, our corporate partners have a variety of options for recruiting students. Whitman’s online Resume Book assists recruiters with matching a candidate’s background with particular hiring needs. Per your request, the Whitman Career Services Center will provide complete class resume books or customized resume books that are tailored to your specific hiring needs. You can then review the resume book(s) at your convenience and contact the candidates directly or request to have the Whitman Career Services Center arrange an on-campus, video, or phone interview.

To submit a resume book request, fille out the Resume Referral form. An account manager will send your resume book(s) electronically (PDF format) and will provide any assistance you need in contacting candidates.
