Frankel Testimonials
About Me
Prior to pursuing the MBA at Syracuse University, I completed a bachelor's degree in accounting from the H.R. College of Commerce and Economics in Bombay, India. I then worked in public accounting for three-and-a-half years, working with the CPA firm of Shaunak R. Dalal in Bombay. I finished my MBA in spring 2003 with a concentration in finance and accounting.
During my time at SU I earned several honors, in addition to being named a Frankel Scholar for 2002. I was selected as Beta Gamma Sigma Teaching Assistant of the Year for 2002, received an Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises (EEE) Research Fund Award in 2002, and received a Martin J. Whitman School of Management Alumni Award for Outstanding Contributions to the School. I served as a research assistant and adjunct instructor in finance and was a teaching assistant in accounting. I was active in the MBA Student Association, the student-run Orange Consulting Group, and Beta Alpha Psi. In the summer of 2002, I completed an internship with Answerthink Inc. in Chicago.
Reflections on the Frankel Program Experience
The Stuart Frankel & Company NYSE Program was the biggest eye-opener of my professional life. All the theory that I learned in school came to life during my three days with Mr. Frankel. I met so many different professionals in various areas of the financial industry and was amazed by the insights they offered from real-world experience. The trip gave me a whole new perspective and a new way of looking at my career and the future.
The highlight of the program for me was Mr. Stuart Frankel. His wisdom, wit, and the great entrepreneurial spirit that he embodies were fascinating. I learned so much from his life experiences.
The pace of the trip was fast, as is to be expected in the business world. More importantly, the trip offered me great networking opportunities and has helped me to build special relationships with our alumni. The presence of Associate Dean Tom Foley and Professor Wu also added to the learning experience of the trip. |
