Bloomberg Professional

Rather than having to receive “on the job” training, the Ballentine Investment Institute has brought Equity and Fixed Income training modules to the Whitman School of Management, allowing students to achieve Bloomberg ® certification.

The Ballentine Investment Institute offers this revolutionary interactive application to Whitman students in both professional and educational formats. The application is extensively used by students across all majors to perform research on companies, markets, countries, and economies.

All participants follow three introductory sessions that provide a solid foundation for subsequent courses. Thereafter, students choose either Equity and/or Fixed Income tracks; each is divided into five classes. Certificates are issued to anyone completing all of the introductory level courses and all courses of their selected track(s); a total of two certificates may be earned. Various electives may be taken.

FactSet Research Systems

Factset In addition to Bloomberg Professional Services, the Ballentine Investment Institute also provides access to FactSet Research Systems. FactSet is a powerful tool for students and professionals, offering great depth and breadth of data on markets and companies with access to over 200 individual databases. Knowledge of this software is beneficial to students majoring in finance as well as in marketing, accounting, and entrepreneurship. The Ballentine Investment Institute arranges for regular training sessions to learn about Factset’s wide variety of tools for any career track.
