Research
The Kiebach Center for International Business publishes the Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship.
The Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship (JDE) provides a forum for the dissemination of descriptive, empirical, and theoretical research that focuses on issues concerning microenterprise and small business development, especially under conditions of adversity. The intended audience for the JDE is scholars who study issues of developmental entrepreneurship and professionals involved in governmental and non-governmental efforts to facilitate entrepreneurship in economic and community development programs. Partners
The Kiebach Center for International Business Studies partners with many other centers and institutes within the Whitman School of Management and elsewhere. They include:
Walter H. and Dorothy B. Diamond Institute of International Taxation and Trade, which sponsors many relevant activities throughout the year, including ExportNY, IBForum, and CNYIBA.
Werner Heumann Institute for Cultural Understanding in International Business, which was made possible though the generous support of Danny Heumann ’91. The Institute is named for Heumann’s late father who arrived in the United States in 1939 after fleeing Nazi Germany with his family. Werner Heumann came to Syracuse as a district sales manager for Brillo. Later, he took over his father-in-law’s business, David Wilcoff and Co., Inc., an international importer and exporter of metals and electronics. |
