Welcome

Whitman students in the MS in Finance program graduate from the rigorous, one-year curriculum well-versed in the global framework of finance, preparing them to manage the risks associated with operating in a global marketplace. The program’s core courses explore the nature of capital markets as they relate to organizational goals and provide an understanding of how broad principles of finance and quantitative methods can be applied to create investment strategies.

The flexible MS in Finance program allows students to customize their degree by taking elective courses in any of the following areas: statistics, accounting, economics, international business studies, and real estate, preparing students for specialized careers in corporate finance, securities markets, and financial management. Along the way, Whitman students are given personal access to analysis tools and investment instruments used by professionals in the field, including Bloomberg certification terminals through Whitman’s Ballentine Investment Institute.
