The Career Center in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will hold its annual week of specialized career fairs, connecting Whitman students with recruiters looking to hire for employment and internships. The week begins Sept. 29 with the Supply Chain Career Fair, which takes place from 1-4:30 p.m. The Marketing Career Fair will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sept.30, followed by the Retail Reception from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
The Finance Career Fair will be 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 1. The final event is the Accounting Career Fair on Oct. 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All events will be held in the Flaum Grand Hall. Angela Petrucco, director of the Whitman Career Center, will lead coordination of the week’s events.
“The Whitman School’s specialized career fairs offer great opportunities for students to meet a diverse group of professionals in their industry, and to find a career path that is both rewarding and exciting,” says Petrucco. “Each year, students who attend the career fairs have a greater likelihood of being placed into employment and internships that allow them to take what they’ve learned in the classroom and apply it in real-world situations.”
Corporations attending the career fair include Johnson & Johnson, Staples, Lockheed Martin, Nordstrom, Macy’s, News America Marketing, the American Red Cross, Corning, The Hartford, General Electric, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, BDO Seidman, Deloitte, Eisner, Ernst & Young, Kohl’s, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, among others.
