On Oct. 16, the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will host a guest lecture by Todd Harrison ’91 BS, founder and CEO of Minyanville, a media company focused on “financial infotainment.” The lecture will begin at 1 p.m. in the Lender Auditorium in the Whitman School. The lecture is free and open to the public. Paid parking is available at the University Avenue Garage.

Harrison has 17 years of experience working on Wall Street, was previously a vice president at Morgan Stanley, managing director at the Galleon Group, and was president of the $400 million hedge fund Cramer, Berkowitz & Co. He has been featured on CNBC, Fox Business, CBS MarketWatch, and CNN, and in the New York Times and Fortune, among others.

As executive producer of Minyanville, the first and only animated business news show, Harrison received an Emmy Award in December of 2008 from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Minyanville features two witty animated characters, Hoofy the Bull and Boo the Bear, who venture on a journey into financial understanding. In addition to his animated success, Harrison has also written a book, “Memoirs of a Minyan,” about the false idolatry of money and lessons he learned on the road to financial success.
