EBV, IVMF garner news in national outlets


SU and the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV), founded at the Whitman School, were featured in a White House announcement on President Barack Obama’s commitment to employing America’s veterans, which was reported on by the Associated Press, Louisville Courier-Journal, and Times-Picayune (New Orleans). An event with the President took place Friday at the Washington Navy Yard. Mike Haynie, founder and national executive director of the EBV, executive director of the University’s Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) and Barnes Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Whitman School, and Ray Toenniessen, director of operations for the IVMF and director of veteran outreach programs at Whitman, were invited guests at the event, which also included an announcement by Humana of a $1 million contribution to the EBV.
