Dean Stith Invited to Attend White House Summit


Whitman Dean Melvin T. Stith ’73 MBA,’77 Ph.D., has been invited to attend the White House Summit on Entrepreneurship for Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Serving Institutions  on April 16  in Washington, D.C.

The White House, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Department of Education have partnered to create awareness and increase entrepreneurial services to minority serving two- and four-year institutions.

Leaders from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Minority Serving Institutions, government experts and business owners will explore opportunities and support solutions to existing economic challenges within these underserved communities.  Participants also are being asked to share strategies that are working their communities.

The event will be held in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building at the White House.
