On October 19, 2012, the Whitman Chapter of the American Marketing Association hosted a ‘Rising Stars in Marketing’ panel discussion. Five recent Whitman alumni from world-class companies discussed how they prepared for the job market, how they found great firms to work for, and how they’re building successful careers.

Panelists included Jared Cohen ’07, regional account executive, The Hartford Insurance; Anne Boardman ’11, sales manager, Macy’s, Inc.; Jody Ellsworth ’09, pharmacy business consultant, Cardinal Health; Aaron Kripke ’08, media planner, Tierney Communications; and Scott Glaser ’11, assistant buyer, Macy’s, Inc. The panel discussion was emceed by AMA Chapter President Margaret Jones ’13 and AMA member Nneoma Nwaigwe ’14.

The mission of the ‘Rising Stars in Marketing’ program is to foster closer links between Whitman undergraduate students and our recent alumni who have exhibited significant leadership characteristics and are beginning to achieve success early in their careers, particularly in marketing.

The Rising Stars panel discussion was made possible by a generous gift from an anonymous donor.
