Four undergraduate students in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University competed in the annual Logistics Association at The Ohio State University Case Competition April 4 and finished second in their group.

The students competed against Ohio State, Miami of Ohio, Michigan State, Missouri State, Arkansas State, University of Arkansas, and University of Maryland. The Whitman team was comprised of Kim Riggs, Lindsay Barhold, Alma Zhumagulova, and Kemel Aitzhanov

“The students had a fun experience, but it was an intense case competition,” says Gary LaPoint, assistant professor of supply chain management at Whitman and faculty advisor to the team. “The teams were given the case early in the morning and had six hours to analyze it and prepare a 20 minute presentation. This was our first experience in the competition and we look forward to returning next year.”
