US News Ranks Whitman’s Undergraduate Program in Top 40 Nationwide
The undergraduate business program in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University has been ranked as one of the top 40 best undergraduate business programs nationwide in US News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges 2009.” The Whitman School was tied with three schools for 39th place. The issue hits newsstands August 25.
The edition also ranks business specialty programs; the Department of Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises in the Whitman School was ranked number eight nationwide. Additionally, US News ranked national universities. Syracuse University overall was ranked 53 nationwide.
“The Whitman School is honored that our undergraduate business program is ranked among the top 40 programs nationwide and our entrepreneurship program was ranked eighth in the nation,” says Melvin T. Stith, dean of the Whitman School. “These recognitions are wonderful external acknowledgments of the high-quality and competitive experiences the Whitman School offers undergraduate students.”
The US News & World Report undergraduate business program rankings were based on a survey of business school deans and senior faculty at undergraduate business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Deans and faculty were surveyed in spring 2008.
