Originally from Mumbai, India, Kishita Kapasi hopes to combine her knowledge of nutrition, her passion for food, and the business skills she will acquire at the Whitman School to start her career as a competitive brand manager in the food industry.
While receiving her master’s degree in food science and nutrition, Kishita developed “Moussebury,” a healthy chocolate mousse that was ranked the best food product of the year. Her innovative healthy alternative helped her secure a position at Fine Organics Industries as a product development executive.
From there, she continued to gain real-world experience in the field of nutrition at Marco Limited in India, doing research and development for launching a new chain of wellness centers. Following that experience she worked as an assistant manager at the MGCL health club in India, where she recognized her skill and interest in marketing and managing a business.
“My goal of being a future CEO of a Fortune 500 company—developing and manufacturing innovative health foods—starts right here with Whitman graduate entrepreneurship program, ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report,” Kishita says. “Whitman has already contributed so much to my future; the career center has prepared me ahead of time for the competitive business world, while Whitman alumni have made me feel at home!”
