Yung Chih (Alex) Lin '08 MBA
Supplier Manager, Xerox Corporation
MBA, Supply Chain, Alumni and Friends

A native of Taipei, Taiwan, Yung Chih (Alex) Lin spent most of his childhood in Paraguay before heading back to Taiwan to complete a BS in computer science at National Cheng Kung University. Before joining the Whitman School, Alex worked in sales for Tatung Company, a manufacturer of household appliances and multimedia goods, in Taipei.

In his first year of the MBA program he found the Whitman MBA Case Competition to be a particularly rewarding experience. “Though the competition seemed like the typical take-home case study assignment, it meant much more to my teammates and me," Alex observes. "We really enjoyed the camaraderie and fun that was fostered through the competition. We spent multiple group meetings discussing and gaining a consensus. It wasn’t easy, but it was a learning experience.”

“Pursuing an MBA degree is about learning how to become a great leader in the future. During my first year at Whitman, I had the opportunity to work on countless team projects and presentations, which has greatly improved my teamwork and leadership capabilities,” claims Alex. “My goal in the professional world is to own and manage a successful company, and I know that one day, when I reach the summit, I will look back and thank the Whitman School for all the lessons I learned and the memorable experiences.”

After graduation, Alex started work with Xerox Corporation.
