Ryan Kelly was the 2007 president of the Syracuse University Undergraduate Student Body, the 2008 University Marshall, a Remembrance Scholar, a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, a member of the Golden Key Honor Society, and a member of the University Senate. As student body president, Kelly coordinated the Al Gore guest lecture at the Landmark Theatre on September 14, 2006, and also coordinated an event by former Mexican president Vincente Fox on October 29, 2007.
During Kelly’s summers, he applied his Whitman School education to an internship with Court TV in Manhattan, where he was responsible for using interactive media for advertising and sales targeted towards Hispanics. Kelly was also part of a Whitman team that won third place in the PricewaterhouseCoopers xTax Competition.
“When I came to Whitman, I had no idea about all the opportunities I would be presented with. The Whitman School was a huge part of my successful student career. The relationships I formed are those that will last a lifetime,” says Kelly. “The enthusiasm I embraced at Whitman and at SU will stay with me forever.”
