With the student in mind, Whitman’s state-of-the-art, 160,000-square-foot facility was built to cater to students’ academic and social needs. The building boasts technology-filled team rooms equipped with LCD screens, computer labs and lounges, comfortable study areas, and wireless Internet throughout. |

Web Design & Development
Our department is responsible for web application development, web design, video streaming, live web streaming, web hosting, HTML emails, and graphic design.
We put a lot of effort into keeping the Whitman website up-to-date, if you need any changes or have any questions, please call the helpline at x2342 or stop in to Suite 114.

Video Capture, Edit and Distribution
We record, edit, distribute and so much more. There are many guest speakers and important events in this building throughout the semester and we’d love to capture these moments and share them with the Whitman community. Make sure to let us when you expect a distinguished guest and we’ll do the rest!
Our department also facilitates live web-streaming of Whitman events, video production, video encoding/transcoding, and well as the conversion of VHS tapes to DVD.

Whitman's Digital Signage
We have nine LCD’s located throughout the building, including in our graduate and undergraduate computer labs to keep students, faculty and staff aware of upcoming events. Using up-to-date event ads, live TV, scrolling tickers and updated weekly recordings of “The Whitman Update,” we are able to keep the Whitman body informed and active in relevant Whitman activities.

It is an amazing platform that automatically captures class lectures and converts them into podcasts, video, rich media, and more for anytime, anywhere playback. Many faculty members have been using it to facilitate distance learning and illustrate difficult concepts for coursework. |
