Undergraduate students in the Whitman School of Management can major in: accounting, entrepreneurship, finance,marketing management, retail management, and supply chain management.
There is also a general studies in management option.

Accounting
The Whitman School offers undergraduate degrees in managerial accounting (comptrollership) and professional accounting (certified public accounting). The professional accounting degree meets the educational requirements for certification as a CPA in the State of New York. The majority of states require an additional year of study to be licensed as a CPA. Job opportunities for accounting majors include careers in public accounting, business and industry, not-for-profit organizations, and government. |

Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises
The Whitman entrepreneurship program is specially designed to examine and enhance the connection between educational excellence and entrepreneurial ingenuity. Majors will have the opportunity to learn the knowledge and skills required to create and grow a new business from within either a start-up or mature business or, as is becoming increasingly common, a hybrid configuration blending both start-up and mature conditions, e.g., alliances, partnerships, and network organizations. Graduates of the EEE program are well-suited for growing opportunities in both small and large organizations requiring entrepreneurial skills. |

Finance
The Whitman finance program provides undergraduates with an overall understanding of business operations paired with a strong background in economics on both the micro and macro levels. Along with a theoretical background, Whitman students are well equipped with advanced computer skills, an expertise in mathematics, and a strong understanding of world affairs. At Whitman, students also receive hands-on experience through internships and community service. Many field trips and networking opportunities are also open to students in order to introduce them to the intricate world of financial markets. Developing practical skills in these varied environments allows Whitman students to enter the workforce a cut above the rest, with previous experience making them even more marketable to employers. |

Marketing Management
The marketing management program in the Whitman School is designed for students to encounter all the basic challenges in the industry: how a company decides what to sell, the customers and market to target, and the best means of reaching them. In many courses, students work in project teams--just as professionals do--to create strategies for product development, pricing, promotion, and distribution. Students learn to respond to the demands of competitors, the government, and larger social issues. Marketing graduates are prepared for many career options, including advertising and promotion management, business-to-business marketing, consulting, marketing management, marketing research, new product development, product and brand management, retailing and wholesaling, sales management, and managing a family business. |

Retail Management
The unique retail management major at Whitman is designed to prepare students for careers as buyers, store managers, apparel product developers, and sales/marketing representatives. In addition to getting a firm grounding in all functional areas of business, Whitman retail management majors develop special expertise in analyzing retail markets; gain a thorough understanding of the evolution of the domestic and global retail marketplace and the integral connections that occur at every link in the supply chain—from manufacturing and distribution channels to the ultimate consumer; and complete a required full-time supervised internships in areas such as buying, product development, store management, and marketing Retail management majors are also supported from a high-profile Retail Advisory Board including senior executives from Macy's, Bloomingdale’s, Donna Karan, Ann Taylor, Crate and Barrel, and New York & Company. |

Supply Chain Management
The Whitman Supply Chain Management program is the oldest such program in the country, endowed by H.H. Franklin in 1920. Today the Whitman supply chain undergraduate program is well attuned to the needs of this very dynamic and increasingly popular specialty. The major in supply chain management builds on several of the curriculum's core courses, including finance, marketing management, and management information systems, to address topics of logistics, inventory control, risk sharing, supply chain planning, buyer-seller alliances, information flows, transportation, production management, and business-to-business marketing in global setting. There is an emphasis on information technology throughout the curriculum. |
