Dual Program with Newhouse
Professionals are recognizing the complex needs of many organizations, including the increasing importance of a mix of business and communication skills and knowledge. To acquire this combination of skills, students enroll in the dual degree program with the Whitman School of Management and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, both top ranked programs in the nation. Through this powerful dual program, students are able to gain a better understanding of how business and communications work hand in hand.
The program equips students with the essential skills necessary to become effective business leaders and communicators, giving them an edge in a competitive job market.
Students may apply directly to the dual program as an incoming first-year student when applying to SU or they can add the dual program later as a current SU student. Students select from one of the Whitman School’s eight majors and from one of the Newhouse School’s eight majors. For example, some students major in marketing in Whitman and public relations in Newhouse.
