We are proud of all our Whitman alumni, and in particular we wish to extend our congratulations to Matthew Menner'94 MBA, senior vice president of Transplace, who will receive Syracuse University's Outstanding Young Alumni Award during Homecoming + Reunion Weekend, Oct. 11-14. SU's Outstanding Young Alumni Award recognizes alumni who have graduated within the past 15 years in recognition of outstanding service to the University, as well as outstanding civic and career achievements. Congratulations again to Matthew, and we look forward to seeing all our Whitman alumni back on campus for Homecoming + Reunion.

5K Fun Run to Benefit Tracy Halpin Fund
Another shining example of Whitman students doing good work: Beta Alpha Psi is sponsoring a fundraiser to benefit the Tracy Halpin Memorial Fund. The fundraiser is in collaboration with SU's annual 5K Fun Run on Oct. 27. Registration for the run is free; sales of the Fun Run's t-shirts and pledges for runners will go towards the Tracy Halpin Memorial Fund. The deadline for registration is Oct. 13.
