The Peer Facilitator Program at the Whitman School is designed to facilitate the entry of new students into SU, provide support for them throughout the semester and help them improve their teamwork skills by providing them with regular feedback on their team process.
During the spring semester, recruitment begins for the peer facilitator program. The recruitment process includes an application and an interview with a peer facilitator leader. We encourage all Whitman students who have taken SOM 122 to apply for the program! We have students from all years participating, but mostly sophomores and juniors. Students who have served as a peer facilitator and would like to grow within the program are encouraged to apply for a position as a peer facilitator leader!
The program includes a meeting in April, a training session the Friday before the first day of fall classes and participation in the first year activities on Saturday of Syracuse Welcome.
