Welcome to the shared film resource for entrepreneurship educators! The entrepreneurship movie clip database (E-MCDB) is a free searchable database that associates movies with entrepreneurship course topics and competencies.

E-MCDB differs from existing video clip databases for entrepreneurship educators at Harvard Business School, Stanford University and Cornell in an important way: it is not a collection of video clips of guest speakers who are entrepreneurs. Instead, these movie clips present opportunities to teach entrepreneurship from a different platform: popular culture.

E-MCDB has been made possible by instructors all over the world who share their experiences of using movies to teach different courses or topics. The first set of teaching notes/lesson plans was submitted by a core group of faculty in the “Lessons from Hollywood” competition.

Our objective is to continually enhance the E-MCDB collection and you are invited to share your favorite movies to teach entrepreneurship with other instructors.

There are two levels of access to E-MCDB:
Level 1 access: Free, searchable database for access by all instructors
Level 2 access: Restricted access for contributors to the database. Access requires submission of movie clip data with a teaching note.
