EEE Program Sponsors the Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship
October 9, 2002 – Syracuse University is now the editorial home of the Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship (JDE). The JDE is an academic publication devoted to publishing lead edge research on topics concerning microenterprise development. The editorial focus is entrepreneurship under conditions of adversity. JDE provides a forum for the dissemination of descriptive, empirical, and theoretical research. The intended audience for the JDE includes entrepreneurs, individuals doing scholarly work in the fields of entrepreneurship and economic development, and professionals involved in governmental and non-governmental efforts to facilitate entrepreneurship in economic and community development programs. Articles cover a broad range of topics, including:
- Entrepreneurship and self-employment in developing economies
- Challenges and opportunities unique to minority and female entrepreneurs
- Issues concerning small business incubation
- Microenterprise funds and private-sector small business lending practices
- Legislation that impacts entrepreneurship and community development
- Processes that facilitate growth and development with emerging enterprises
- Networks within and among entrepreneurial ventures
- Marketing patterns and approaches in venture growth and development
- International developmental entrepreneurship programs
- Entrepreneurship on the informal economic sector
- Education and training for aspiring entrepreneurs
The editor of JDE is Michael H. Morris, Witting Chair in Entrepreneurship and Director of the Program in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises at Syracuse.
JDE is published three times a year, in April, August, and December.
