The National Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers honors Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship with its 2006 Award for Outstanding Contributions to Advance the Discipline of Entrepreneurship

This award is given to a center dedicated to advancing, promoting, and supporting entrepreneurship education as a field of study, teaching, and outreach to one or a variety of communities. The award is based on a number of criteria that includes economic development and community outreach, service to the discipline, entrepreneurship education development and mentoring, outreach programs, stimulation of entrepreneurial opportunity, and other elements of the center's programs. The Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship was selected from a competitive pool of highly ranked entrepreneurship centers around the country.
