Scholarly research is a core part of our mission in the Department of Entrepreneurship & Emerging Enterprises. Our interest is research that facilitates the successful creation and growth of entrepreneurial ventures. Within this rapidly emerging field of study, our work focuses on theoretical, conceptual and empirical contributions to the understanding of entrepreneurial behavior at the individual, organizational and societal levels.
Faculty members within the Department are pursuing a number of important research streams in entrepreneurship and innovation management. In addition, the Department sponsors an annual program of research grants in entrepreneurship, and this is open to faculty throughout the School of Management. Also, a number of collaborative research efforts involve faculty members from the Department working with colleagues in other disciplines around the campus.
Syracuse is also the editorial home to two major international journals within the field of entrepreneurship. These include the Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship and the Journal of Entrepreneurial Finance and Business Ventures. |
