Imagine that you can make a difference right now. You just took the worst class of your life and you want to let the campus – no…the world – know how awful the professor smelled as he talked of boring nonsense. Do something about it.
That’s what the E-Club is all about – enabling students, faculty, and local businesses to stop talking and turn ideas into reality. Weekly meetings encourage those with ideas to be bold and others to keep asking “what if.” |
 |
| Whether an art student, engineer, architect, or something else, the E-Club can be fun and beneficial for everyone. Don’t hesitate to drop by and check it out. |
| Over the past year, the E-Club has set the pace among campus organizations by capturing the essence of the entrepreneurial spirit. Our presence was made even stronger this year throughout the University as a dynamic and passionate group that loves to spread Entrepreneurship around campus and in the community. This past year, our club has enabled over 70 members to “get their hands dirty” and immerse themselves in the entrepreneurial way of life. |
The E-Club’s activities underscores the club’s remarkable achievements to date. Examples include the Club’s consulting efforts with community entrepreneurs and the Whitman School’s inner city entrepreneurship initiative, as well as our work encouraging women entrepreneurs through the Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship initiative at SU. In addition, the Club’s “Amazing Entrepreneurs Speaker Series” has enabled students to be exposed to a diverse mix of inspiring and educationally rewarding entrepreneurs, such as the owners and managers of Empire Brewing Company, Ohm Lounge, and Al’s Wine and Whiskey Lounge, Brian Cohen, a member of the New York Angels, and Pat Henriques, who gave brilliant insight to the Club on the topic of women in entrepreneurship, specifically work and life balance, gender bias in entrepreneurship, finding direction, and choosing between work in a company or entrepreneurial pursuits post-college.
This year we don't expect to slow down at all. We have decided to up the ante, and are looking at a ton of new opportunities like nothing else offered on campus. The officers elected into the club come from amazing backgrounds and together bring a great amount of energy to the table.
There are tons of ways to get involved with the club. Whether you would like to start a business, make some money, hear some amazing speakers, boost your resume, take a trip with us to Chicago, or get to experience something like a real-life Apprentice, the E-Club has it all.
