12:00 PM - 12:50 PM	Bare Necessities of Starting a Business The South Side Innovation Center (SSIC), part of the Whitman School of Management, will host a New Venture Orientation, led by Joanne Lenweaver, diecrtor of the WISE Center, to provide information on the initial steps that are critical to launching a successful business, and ultimately achieving profitability.
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM	EAP Business Plan Lab The South Side Innovation Center (SSIC) in the Whitman School of Management will host a Business Plan Lab to help participants gain an understanding of the fundamentals of the business plan. Templates for several of the critical components of the business plan will be provided as guides and prompts for class members. Participants will be expected to conduct the research necessary for completion of the business plan. By the end of this course, a viable document will emerge.
