8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Entrepreneurship and Mental Health Workshop

The entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises department is hosting a workshop to discuss papers that have been accepted for an Academy of Management Perspectives special issue titled, “Entrepreneurship and Mental Health.” Participants included clinical psychologists, as well as leading management and economics scholars with a specific interest in the topic area.  

“The AMP is a highly-regarded journal within the Academy of Management family,” said Johan Wiklund, the Al Berg Endowed Chair and professor of entrepreneurship.“Its symposiums are equivalent to special issues in other leading journals.” 

The full conference agenda includes seven papers on topics, such as bi-polar disorder and entrepreneurship, as well as how sleep can both help and hurt entrepreneurs.

Prospective students and their families are cordially invited to visit the Syracuse University campus for our Saturday Whitman Information Session.  As part of the day-long program, Whitman will hold an information session in the Whitman School that will include the following information.


• Academic programs, majors, double majors, first-year business classes
• Out of the classroom opportunities – our IMPRESS program, internships, student
clubs, business incubator, and investment center
• Career exploration, preparation and placement
• Student experiences
• Q & A, and a tour of our facilities
