On March 17, the South Side Innovation Center will host John Izzo, co-owner and co-founder of White Barn Winery, as part of the Start-Up N.Y. Extraordinary Speaker Series. The brand-new winery opened its doors in December 2009, just nine months after Izzo and his wife, Lorraine, purchased the land in Cayuga, N.Y. The lecture, “Pursue Your Dream, Celebrate Life,” will begin at noon at the SSIC, located at 2610 S. Salina Street in Syracuse.
Start-Up N.Y. is a collaborative project of the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, the Burton Blatt Institute Centers of Innovation on Disability, ARISE, and the Onondaga County Office of Economic Development and Department of Social Services.
The cost is $10 for the public, $5 for SSIC tenants/SSEA members, and free for SU students and Start-Up N.Y. and PRIME participants.
