All Day Marketing speaker - Dr. Muge Yayla-Kullu

Dr. Muge Yayla-Kullu of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) will be visiting the Whitman School of Management on Friday, April 12th. H. Muge Yayla-Kullu is an assistant professor of operations management at RPI, Lally School of Management. She holds a PhD in operations management from Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She received her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in industrial engineering from Bilkent University, Turkey.

 

Dr. Yayla-Kullu’s research interests include the marketing/operations interface, product line design, management of limited resources, and service operations. She studies a firm’s decisions under competitive pressures and increasing product variety, in particular when the resource capacity is constrained. She has publications in top tier journals such as Production and Operations Management and Decision Sciences. Her dissertation titled, “Product Line Design under Capacity and Competition,” won the 2008 Runner-up Award in the prestigious APICS George and Marion Plossl Research Fellowship Competition.
