The Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will honor 525 bachelor’s degree candidates at the school’s convocation at 9 a.m. May 15 in Manley Field House. A reception will follow at 10:45 a.m. at Drumlins Country Club.

, assistant professor of accounting practice will receive the Outstanding Faculty of the Year Award and will give the convocation address.
MaryClare R. McGraw
, president of Beta Gamma Sigma, a national business administration honor society, will present the senior address.

|1:30 PM - 3:00 PM ||Graduate Programs 2010 Convocation|
Whitman's Graduate Programs Convocation will individually recognize MBA, MS, and PhD graduates. The event takes place at 1:30 p.m. in Hendricks Chapel. Louis C. Vivenzio ’06 MBA, senior vice president at Gen Re, will be the keynote speaker.
At GenRe, Vivenzio is the head of the new business and strategic development initiatives within GRI, in addition to having responsibilities for existing client account management. With more than 20 years of catastrophic risk management and mitigation experience, he is a frequent speaker at insurance industry events, Gen Re Group client seminars, and internal training events on catastrophic risk analysis, risk syndication strategies, and reinsurance market dynamics.

The Graduate Programs Office in the Whitman School of Management will host a Post-Convocation Reception to celebrate new MBA, MS, and PhD graduates.
