Event Description
The Whitman Women in Business student club in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will host a breakfast with Darlene DeRemer ’77 BS, ’79 MBA partner with Grail Partners, on March 24 at 7:30 a.m. in the Milton Room. The event, titled “Executive Breakfast Chat,
”
is open to all Whitman graduate students.
DeRemer has been with Grail since its inception and heads the advisory practice, which focuses on clients facing strategic inflection points such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or recapitalizations. Prior to joining Grail, DeRemer spent 25 years as a leading advisor to the asset management industry, specializing in strategic marketing, product design, and innovative service strategies. From 2000-2003, she ran NewRiver’s eBusiness advisory unit. In 1987, she founded DeRemer + Associates, the first consultancy focused on the U.S. mutual fund industry. From 1985-1987, DeRemer was vice president and director at State Street Global Advisors, where she managed the $4 billion pension real estate department and developed marketing and client service programs. From 1982-1985, she was a vice president at T. Rowe Price and Associates. She holds a BS and MBA from the Whitman School.
