On April 22, the Real Estate Club in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will host a luncheon and guest lecture by Edward Pettinella ‘76 MBA, president and CEO of Home Properties (HME), a publically traded real estate investment trust. HME engages in the ownership, operation, acquisition, development, and redevelopment of residential communities across the United States. The company has close to 38,000 apartment units under various forms of ownership in various major markets in the country. The lecture and luncheon will start at noon in Room 525 in the Whitman School building. The event is free and open to SU faculty and students. Paid parking is available in the University Avenue Garage.

On April 22, the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University will host a guest lecture by Brian Spector ’78 BS, partner and founder of Spector & Ehrenworth, a five-lawyer law firm specializing in commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, commercial transactions, real estate and casino regulatory law. The lecture, titled "Reflections on a Career in Business Law - One Lawyer's Story of His 35 Year Journey and the Importance of his Whitman School Roots," begins at 2 p.m. in Room 306 of the Whitman School building.

On April 22, the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, in conjunction with the SU-JPMC Collaboration, will host a guest lecture by Ted Lambrinos ’85 BS (NEW), global head of electronic communication networks, trading technology, with JPMorgan Chase. The presentation, called “Electronic Trading and Market Data,” starts at 2 p.m. in Room 003 of the Whitman School building. Lambrinos will speak about how the flow of market data is translated into information used on the JPMC trading floor; recent trends in technology and industry that are accelerating the move toward electronic trading; and low latency market data used in algorithmic trading engines.

The South Side Innovation Center (SSIC), administered by the Whitman School of Management, is hosting a two-course session on Entrepreneurs and Human Resources: Retail Industry, where participants will learn and identify the challenges and opportunities in growth from entrepreneur to professional management, specific to the retail industry.
