Associate Dean Tankersley's current research interests are in new product development/corporate venturing and problems in strategy implementation. His research has appeared in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Sciences, Journal of Retailing, International Journal of Technology Management, Journal of Direct Marketing and Sales, and Marketing Management. He has presented papers at national and regional meetings of the American Marketing Association (AMA), Academy of Marketing Sciences, and Decision Sciences. He has taught and/or consulted for companies including AGWAY, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Caterpillar, Carrier, IBM, General Electric, Mass. Mutual, New York State Electric and Gas, the city of Syracuse, and Welch-Allyn.
