Research Topics
Professor Gillen has taught courses in the EMBA, iMBA, graduate, undergraduate, and executive programs. He has been awarded the Chancellor's Citation for a course he developed, and he received the Andrew W. Mellon Grant for teaching. He also was selected as an Eli Lilly Post-Doctorate Fellow for teaching.
Professor Gillen's research and professional interests are in the areas of strategic management, organizational design, and leadership. Gillen is currently writing a book for Sage Publications concerning leadership skills and strategy principles. He has advised and consulted with senior management at IBM, GE, Pitney Bowes, Eastman Kodak, General Motors, Chrysler, and many high-tech firms.
