He has taught a number of entry-level and upper-division courses in supply chain management in the Whitman School.

Professor La Point has worked in almost every supply chain management capacity imaginable for companies that include UTC/Carrier, Xerox, ITT Industries, and Cooper Industries. As an independent consultant, he works with companies to resolve logistics and supply chain problems.
