| At the American Marketing Association's Summer Marketing Educators' Conference, held in Chicago from August 4-7, “Best Paper” honors in the Retailing and Pricing Track were awarded to Whitman professors Amiya Basu, professor of marketing; Tridib Mazumdar, the Howard R. Gendal Professor of Marketing and associate dean for faculty development and research; and S.P. Raj, formerly Distinguished Professor of Marketing at SU, now at Cornell University. Their paper was titled “Impact of Price Sensitivity and Relative Value Advantage on Optimal Brand Price Under Competition.” |

| Susan Long, professor of managerial statistics in the Whitman School's Department of Finance, is one of twenty-one champions of open government who has been selected for induction into the National Freedom of Information Act Hall of Fame. Long, who directs the Transactional Access Clearinghouse Center (TRAC) at SU, will be honored on March 16—along with fellow TRAC co-director David Burnham—during the eighth annual National FOI Day Conference in Washington. |

| Michael H. Morris, the Chris J. Witting Chair in Entrepreneurship and chair of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, has been awarded the Hilton Visiting Chair at Iowa State University. The Hilton Chair is awarded annually to a distinguished scholar in a field of study that is of growing interest to the university. |

| Scott Webster, professor of supply chain management in the Department of Marketing, was recently named “Outstanding Decision Science Journal Associate Editor” by the editorial team of Decision Science Journal. Webster was recognized for the high quality of his developmental reviews and his academic knowledge in advancing the decision sciences. |

| Frances Zollers, professor of law and public policy in the Department of Management in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, won the Best Technology Law Case award in the Technology Law Section Case Writing Competition at the 81st Annual Conference of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business. Zollers won for her case “HeartWine.” The conference was held August 8-12 in St. Petersburg, Florida. |
