Randy Elder, senior associate dean and professor of accounting at the Whitman School was recently cited in Compliance Week, a publication dedicated to corporate governance, risk and compliance. The article, “New Frauds Cast Shadow on Auditor Confirmation,” mentions a recent study done by Elder.

Elder's research interests include audit quality, governmental auditing and auditor decision-making. A selection of his recent publications focus on accounting regulation, corporate governance and risk management. Elder received his PhD in accounting from Michigan State University.
