Army Comptroller Course
The purpose of the Army Comptroller Course (ACC) is to provide a basic multi-disciplined financial and resource management (RM) overview to DoD military & civilian personnel newly assigned to the Comptroller Career field and to other personnel without a multi-disciplined background. The course blends current DoD/Army management and the latest in academic management techniques. ACC provides graduates the ability to operate within the current environment and gives them the skills necessary to be more effective and efficient.
The course is divided into four general learning objectives with learning accomplished by lectures, discussion groups, group projects, guest speakers, and simulations. The four learning objectives are:
The ACC is conducted by SU. It is 3 weeks in length; classes are conducted from 0800 to 1600 daily. Students are housed at The Residence Inn by Marriott Syracuse. Classes are conducted at SU's Whitman School of Management. The course includes a three-day field trip with two nights spent at SU's Minnowbrook Conference Center in the Adirondack Mountains. Transportation is provided. Tuition covers all training and training material, housing and some meals.
