To complete a double major in Whitman, students must complete all of the required courses for each major. Courses that are applicable to multiple majors may only be used to fulfill the requirements of one major. Generally, double majors do not have free electives. If you have already taken free electives at the time that you decide to pursue a double major, you may need to take more than 121 credit hours for the two majors.
You can also complete a second major outside of the Whitman School. Adding a major outside of management usually increases the number of credits required for graduation. For more information about adding a second major outside of the Whitman School, speak with an academic advisor in the Undergraduate Office (Suite 215).
