Tuition and Aid

There are many financial aid options, including need and merit-based aid, available to students of all levels through Syracuse University, and outside resources. Students are encouraged to visit SU’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship Programs located in 200 Archbold North to find out about university-wide scholarship opportunities.

Financing Your Education

Students interested in our top-ranked business program can worry that they won’t be able to afford such an education.  However, we’re pleased to state that upon closer look, they discover that the many funding opportunities available to Whitman Students make a Syracuse University education a more attractive and affordable option than some programs that initially appear to be less expensive.

Syracuse University offers merit-based scholarships and financial packages to help cover the cost of tuition.  Additionally, students can also apply for a more need-based loan program through federal or private lenders. We hope, and encourage, students will apply for these financial awards and assistance programs.

Whitman Leadership Scholar Program

The Whitman Leadership Scholar Program awards scholarships and special opportunities to high school seniors who excel academically and are highly engaged in their community. These select students receive a merit based scholarship, receive an early notification of admission, are recognized at a dinner for admitted Whitman Leadership Scholars, and enjoy special opportunities as Whitman students including the following:

• Admission invitation into the Renée Crown University Honors Program
• Research opportunities with Whitman faculty
• Opportunities to tutor Whitman students through our Beta Gamma Sigma honorary business society
• Special opportunities to meet visiting executives and speakers
• Involvement in student committees and leadership initiatives

Students are selected for this award based on their Syracuse University Application. If you would like to be considered as a Whitman Leadership Scholar, please compete this form and email it to Carol Heil, Whitman School Director of Undergraduate Recruitment, caheil@syr.edu.
