Citi Salutes: Realizing Your Dream Business Competition
Calling all V-WISE graduates! Got a great idea for a new business? Have a vision to take your current business to the next level? We want to hear from you!
Citi Salutes is excited to launch its first ever Realizing Your Dream Business Competition. Submit your business plan by November 8, 2013 and you are eligible to receive up to $25,000 to launch or grow your venture. And if you’d like a soundboard for your ideas, or readying your application, you are not alone. The Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) is providing additional resources to make your proposal the best it can be on this website and is offering a business plan laboratory beginning on Monday, August 19, 2013.
In collaboration with two of the IVMF’s portfolio of veteran and military family entrepreneurship training programs, V-WISE and Boots to Business, which are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Citi Salutes is setting out on a national search for the next generation of veteran entrepreneurs! Ten finalists from each program will present their business plans to an expert panel of judges at the grand final event. A dozen winners will take home a total of $130,000 in prizes funded by the Citi Foundation, including special honors for Best Social Venture, Best Technology Venture and an Impacting Veterans Prize. To support participants, the IVMF will offer classes and webinars during the Citi Salutes Business Plan Competition Laboratory to answer all business plan questions.
