Ronnie C. Chan, chairman of Hang Lung Group Limited will deliver this year’s keynote address “China in Transition: What it Will Mean for China and the World Economy,” in the 2017 Martin and Phyllis Berman Distinguished Lecture Series.
Chan is chairman of Hang Lung Group Limited and its subsidiary Hang Lung Properties Limited. Chan is also chairman of the Executive Committee of One Country Two Systems Research Institute, vice president of The Real Estate Developers Association of Hong Kong, co-chair of the Board of Asia Society and chairman of its Hong Kong Center. He also acts as an advisor to the China Development Research Foundation in Beijing.
Chan is a frequent speaker at international conferences and has published numerous articles in International Herald Tribune, Financial Times, Newsweek, Fortune, Asian Wall Street Journal, Far Eastern Economic Review and Japan Times.
Chan sits on the governing or advisory bodies of several think-tanks and universities, including the Peterson Institute for International Economics, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Indian School of Business, and his alma mater, the University of Southern California.
