How do I access my email from off-campus?

I'm getting a security prompt when I try to install a web plugin like WebEx or Adobe Connect. How can I get around this?

You may receive this prompt when attempting to join well  web conferences.  SU computers are configured to allow users to "install" and join the software for all well-known vendors including WebEx and Citrix's GoToMeeting.

Installation of these applications usually amounts to placing executable files in the user's profile.  Because the files are being run from the user's profile, some applications may display UAC (user account control) windows suggesting the need to have elevated access.  If prompted, choose No on the UAC dialog and the ability to join the meeting will complete as expected.

Why does the UAC window appear if elevation is not required?  Some utilities attempt to add browser plugins or shortcuts that integrate a system wide level with the Explorer process.  As SU operates all users as 'Standard' non elevated users these hooks cannot be put into place without elevation.  At no time are these software 'hooks' required items meaning it is safe to bypass the prompting.
