Student Clubs & Organizations

Students can meet and network with students and professionals who share their business and entrepreneurial interest. With approximately 17 student clubs and organizations, ranging from Enactus, featured in the video above, to the Pulp Marketing Club, Whitman students are provided a chance to learn from professionals and demonstrate field leadership capabilities.

Whitman Student Clubs

Alpha Kappa Psi (AKPSI)
Alpha Kappa Psi (AKPSI) is the world's largest and oldest professional business fraternity open to ALL majors on campus. Alpha Kappa Psi is recognized as the premier developer of principled business leaders.

Pulp Marketing
The Pulp Marketing, through its activities, strives for the professional development of its members and for the application of science and ethics in the marketing discipline.

APICS
The American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) is an international, professional society, representing manufacturing, service, and resource management professionals worldwide. More than 2,000 companies and 70,000 individuals worldwide are members of APICS. Additionally, Syracuse University's APICS chapter encourages and prepares students of all degrees for the completion of APICS- CPIM certifications.

Beta Alpha Psi
Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) is a professional service fraternity that includes accounting, finance, and IST majors. Members discuss current issues concerning professions and take advantage of networking opportunities.

Beta Gamma Sigma
Beta Gamma Sigma is a national business honor society whose mission is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business and personal and professional excellence in the practice of business. One of the objectives of the organization is to foster an enduring commitment to the principles and values of honor, integrity, the pursuit of wisdom, and earnestness. Membership is considered the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate or master's program at an accredited school.

The Case Study Club (CSC) (graduate students only)
The Case Study Club provides programs that can enhance students' business strategy thinking skills, including current issue discussions; case analysis practices; interview questions practices; and local business consulting.

Delta Sigma Pi
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities, to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community. The Xi Tau Chapter at Syracuse University was founded in 2001 and has grown to approximately 100 active brothers encompassing Whitman students and Econ majors.

The Entrepreneurship Club
The Entrepreneurship Club is dedicated to encouraging the spirit of entrepreneurship among the Syracuse University student body and to supporting the needs of students who are interested in entrepreneurship. The Club is supported by the Whitman School's Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises Department and the Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship.

The Family Business Club
The Family Business Club is dedicated to preparing students for the unique challenges of working for and running a family business. The goal is to improve the professional development of members through the exchange of ideas, best practices, and experiences.

Franklin Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Syracuse University Roundtable
The CSCMP Syracuse University Roundtable welcomes anyone interested in learning more about supply chain management. Through various field trips and guest speakers throughout the year, the club provides the opportunity to see supply chain management in action as well as learn more about current events and issues affecting the field.

International Business Association
The International Business Association is dedicated to providing students an exposure to the increasingly international nature of business. The IBA take trips to companies with international operations, brings in speakers to discuss the workings of international business, and provides a forum to learn from the collective experiences of our diverse student population.

Investment Club
The Investment Club consists of students in a variety of majors from throughout the university and meets weekly to actively manage trade a portfolio consisting of over $100K in real cash, and discuss stocks, ETFs, commodities, and much more.

National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)
NABA represents the interests of minorities participating in the fields of accounting, auditing, business, consulting, finance, and information technology. Their mission is to address the professional needs of our members and to build leaders that shape the future of the accounting and finance arenas.

Net Impact (graduate only)
An international nonprofit organization with more than 7,000 members, whose mission is to inspire, educate, and equip individuals to use the power of business to create a more socially and environmentally sustainable world.

Real Estate Club
Provides an opportunity for students with an interest in real estate to learn more about the industry, network with industry professionals, learn about various projects through sites visits. Some of the areas of real estate covered include construction, development, finance, real estate law, real estate management, and sales.

SU Enactus
Syracuse University Enactus is a student organization that strives to make a sustainable world socially, environmentally and economically. Working on projects with a local, national, and global reach the SU-SIFE team currently works on 10 different projects involving the efforts of over 80 students on campus.

TAMID
TAMID offers a hands-on learning experience with pro-bono consulting and investing for the future leaders of tomorrow with startups today. 

Whitman Consulting Club (graduate students only)
Its mission is to nurture, develop, and enhance the skills of members interested in pursuing a career in consulting. We strive to create future consultants by educating members about consulting careers and industry, offering practical experiences by working on real life projects, and providing career preparation and networking opportunities.

WGSO (Whitman Graduate Student Organization)
Aims to enrich the Whitman School's graduate programs experience through social, cultural, and community oriented activities and events, while also assisting the Whitman School in accomplishing its goals and honoring its core values.

Whitman Community Council
The Whitman Community Council works to strengthen the Whitman community by managing important aspects of student life at the School of Management. The organization includes executive board members and student representatives from each class.

Whitman Women in Business (graduate students only)
The objective of Whitman Women in Business is to mentor all students and promote women’s advancement in the corporate world through focused efforts towards social and economic empowerment, professional growth, and a strong network of women business leaders.
